They were somewhere — in a WhatsApp group, maybe that PDF someone shared three weeks ago, possibly buried under 400 unread messages.
It hit him: campus wasn't hard because the work was difficult. It was hard because everything was scattered. The lecture notes. The past questions. The reading list. All in different places, none of them working together.
So he built something. A simple tool to turn PDFs into quizzes and flashcards automatically. Showed course mates. They wanted it. Their friends wanted it. Students from other universities started asking.
That's how CourseVault happened. Not a grand plan — a frustrated student who built what he needed, and discovered thousands of others needed it too.
