1. Using CourseVault

You must be at least 13 years old to use CourseVault. If you are under 18, you confirm you have permission from a parent or guardian.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to use CourseVault only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

2. Your content

You retain ownership of any documents, notes, or materials you upload to CourseVault ("Your Content").

By uploading Your Content, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and transform it solely to provide the service to you — for example, generating quizzes or summaries from your PDFs.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload Your Content, and that it does not infringe on any third party's copyright or other rights.

3. Subscriptions, credits, and billing

CourseVault offers a free trial and paid subscription plans (Starter, Plus). Each plan includes a monthly credit allowance; 1 credit is consumed per summary, quiz, or flashcard set generated. Uploading a PDF does not consume credits.

Subscriptions renew automatically each billing cycle unless cancelled. You can cancel anytime from Settings — Billing; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds are available within 48 hours of payment if you have used 5 or fewer credits during that period. Contact hello@coursevaultai.app to request a refund.

We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice before your next renewal.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: upload content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful; attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse our AI systems; share your account credentials with others in violation of your plan's terms; or use the service to cheat during a proctored or academic-integrity-monitored examination in violation of your institution's policies.

CourseVault is a study aid. You remain responsible for complying with your own institution's academic integrity policies.

5. AI-generated content

Quizzes, summaries, flashcards, and other materials generated by CourseVault are produced by AI models and may occasionally contain errors or inaccuracies. Always verify important information against your original course materials before an exam.

6. Termination

You may stop using CourseVault and delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abuse, or pose a security risk to the platform or other users.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

CourseVault is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that generated study materials will be error-free or that use of the service will result in improved exam performance.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CourseVault is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of CourseVault after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
