How do I upload my first PDF?

From your dashboard, click Upload PDF or drag and drop a file anywhere on the page. Files up to 200MB are supported. Processing usually takes under 30 seconds.

What file types does CourseVault support?

Currently, CourseVault supports PDF files. Support for Word documents and scanned/handwritten notes (via OCR) is planned for a future update.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings → Billing → Cancel plan. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period — no partial refund is issued for the remaining days.

Can I get a refund?

We offer refunds within 48 hours of payment if you haven't used more than 5 credits. Contact hello@coursevaultai.app with your account email to request one.

What happens to unused credits at the end of the month?

Credits do not roll over between billing cycles. Your credit balance resets to your plan's monthly allowance on your renewal date.

What does 1 credit actually cost me?

1 credit is spent each time you generate a summary, quiz, or flashcard set from a document. Uploading a text-based PDF is free and does not use a credit — scanned PDFs cost 1 credit for the OCR needed to extract their text.

Can I switch plans?

Yes — you can upgrade or downgrade at any time from Settings → Billing. Plan changes take effect immediately and billing is prorated for the current cycle.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All documents are encrypted in transit and at rest, and are never shared with other users or used to train third-party AI models. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your documents, generated study materials, and account data within 30 days.

I found a bug — how do I report it?

Email bugs@coursevault.ng or use the in-app feedback button available on every page. We aim to fix critical bugs within 24 hours.

Do you have a referral program?

Yes! Create your referral link from your dashboard under Settings → Referrals. You earn credits for every student you refer who subscribes to a paid plan.
